Paakow Essandoh is the founder and CEO of MIZIZI, meaning "roots" in Swahili, it is the official lifestyle brand for the African diaspora. His work seeks to address African cultural representation and connection among members of the vast Diaspora.
Paakow launched MIZIZI at the age of 20, while a student at the University of South Florida. Since its launch in 2015, the line has grown into a coveted streetwear brand, with a cult following across the globe.
A frequent speaker on topics of entrepreneurship and Afropolitanism, Paakow has been featured on platforms such as Forbes and Vogue; and has lectured at Ivy League universities across the US as well as held entrepreneurial workshops worldwide from the United Kingdom to South Africa."
